About Mestre Pedro Feitosa
Mestre Pedro Feitosa started with capoeira in Ceara with a capoeirista from Bahia: Zuza. In the sixties he moved to Sorocaba where there wasn’t any capoeira academy to train. In the beginning of the seventies he moved to Sao Paulo where he participated in several rodas and met Mestre Ananias, Mestre Suassuna e Mestre Paulo Limão. In 1976 he travelled to Brasilia where he trained with Mestre Gato Preto. In 1977 he joined the grupo Novo Luanda and founded his own group Netos de Luanda with a student of Mestre Valdenor. In 1978 he also trained (capoeira regional) frequently with Mestre Joao Ferreira in Sao Paulo (where his brothers lived). Later he received an invitation to join the grupo Cativeiro (Mestre Miguel Machado). Where he became a professor. From there he founded his own academia in Sorocaba. He stayed with the group untill 1993. In 1994 he founded Associação de Capoeira Liberdade” and made his first CD with Mestre Gato Preto and later his second CD with Mestre Ananias.
