Founder of the group Batukege Capoeira at the end of the 90’s in Salvador, Bahia. Mestre Bene philosophy of teaching is centred around maintaining a traditional approach to the form of the game while making learning Capoeira fun and stimulating. He is focused on the self development of the students through passing skills and knowledge of the ritual, musical and physical aspects of the game. Mestre Bene combines his extensive knowledge of the game of Capoeira gained through years of practical experience with his progressive approach to teaching philosophical and strategical aspects of the game in a theoretically informed manner.
