Mestre Alemão was born in Paraguaçu Paulista, SP. He started training capoeira as a child with Mestre Eron Silva (grupo Arte e Dança). He moved to another city and joined Mestre Pradella from the Associação de Capoeira Urucungo”. He became a mestre in 1990 (received from Federaçao Paulista de Capoeira). In 1991 he moved to Italy, first to Milan and then to Genova, spreading capoeira.
